Master Plan that was displayed at the memorial dedication for the Diamond Lakes
Regional Park/Augusta International Raceway Complex.  The 3 mile road course will
remain intact and be developed into a walking and biking trail.
Glenn "Fireball" Roberts would win
his last race at the Augusta
International Raceway.  He along

Weatherly, Billy Wade, Larry
Thomas, Ken Miles and Jimmy
Pardue will always be remembered
with the placement of this
monument on September 11, 2004.  
It should not have taken 40 years to
remember these drivers!

NASCAR great Frank Warren (400 Winston Cup/Grand National starts)
visits the Augusta International Raceway Memorial.
The Initial Phase was completed on September 11, 2004.  The Second Phase was dedicated in
September 2005.  The third phase on September 9, 2006.  Fourth phase dedicated September 8,
2007!  Memorial bench placements in "Children's Outdoor Reading Area" begin in 2008!

AIRPS "5Wkids" Outdoor Reading Area
On September 8, 2007 the centerpiece for the 5Wkids Outdoor Reading Area was
expanded for a fourth time!
 Benches will be added during Spring 2008.
